For those already on dialysis, a section was dedicated to highlight the importance of phosphate control. Pictures of renal osteodystrophy, cardiovascular calcification and calciphylaxis were displayed to demonstrate the potential complications due to poor phosphate control. Next to this poster there is a food demo to demonstrate diet which is rich in phosphate and the potential substitution to it. A dietician is also at hand to give diet advice.
